I started at Marvel Legends (got the first Wolverine and Ghost Rider, and I was hooked). 25th Joes, MU, TFs, DCUC, SW...they all did it to me (stupid plasti-crack!!, LOL).

Yeah, this has occured to me on a few occasions...but ONLY if it's a toy that really catches my eye at regular retail stores, more often when I'm in Big Lots, Marshalls, F$, and the like.
I bought a Bionicle called EHLEK cause I thought he looked cool and was like 2$, I skipped the whole Terminator Salvation line, but when I saw a T-I at Big Lots for 3$, I couldn't pass it up...The latest line has been AVATAR...After I bought a buncha AMP Suits, I started buying the Creatures, Na'vi, and a few of the Human characters...at those prices I feel no guilt/buyers remorse later...

I did the same thing with the Hero Factory stuff. I was at Wal Mart and they had just but the out. I was weird about it though and bought the good guy and the bad guy that each one went with, I currently have 2 of each but wan the whole line. I also did that with Bionicle in 2001. KMart had them on sale, buy one get one half off. I remember this because it was Sept. 11 2001 and we all know what that day is.

Some recent examples:
Ben-10, Bionicle, A Jarrasic Park Knock off line (Great T-Rex I found there that looks better than any T-Rex I had seen yet). Chap-Mei, DC Direct, Marvel Select, |

I picked up the Mega Bloks Halo Warthog on a lark and was thinking of grabbing a few more sets, but if I start ANOTHER toyline in ANOTHER scale, I'm gonna flip! But I really want that Mongoose set!! And maybe some Space Police... and... SEE?!?! I want it all!
Also, today while looking in Target for POC, I had to repress the awesome urge to pick up a Bionicle Hero Factory Von Nebula figure. He looks so cool and would be a Cobra Construct for my GI Joes to fight! I also want to snag a Bionicle Stronius figure!

The Hero Factory stuff is indeed addictive. I've never bought a Bionicle type LEGO toy before, but the Hero Factory white good guy (Stormer) has this Iron Man kinda vibe about his face that got me to buy him.
These guys are simple to put together, but have have a lot of articulation. About the only thing I would maybe have liked is elbow and knee joints and maybe some armor for their backs. Have yet to pick up any bad guys but they're apparently bigger and with more stuff then the good guys. Also another line I got hooked on...Transformers Human Alliance. First it was Bumblebee, then I got everyone else (missing Mudflap though), but Jazz is by far the awesomest Transformer I've bought in a while. My wallet hates me so. >_> |

I bought all of the old Indiana Jones toy line at walmart for a dollar. I even found Henry Jones. Well, two, actually, and ones head is on an extra Iron Man body... haha
I also bought the Prince of Persia gate "playset" and it's not too bad for the 5 bucks I paid.
