i have one of the first castles, not the old yellow one, but the larger bad guy castle with the black ravens on the shield. also had the smaller wall additions, blacksmith and an armoury, i loved castle lego. i till have all the instructions, and even parts of my castle are still built. all in the big bin, but they are stull in there, put together
LEGO is perhaps the best toy ever made. I had a ton as a child and loved them. They're actually a client of ours, and at one point we had probably 5-6 giant boxes of LEGOS sitting in the corner. Those things are way heavier in bulk than you'd think! |

I too loved legos as a kid, and still fine them quite fun to mess with. I think like most people I mostly would build things from my own imagination. I still have most of my legos including some complete sets. I never kept the boxes, but I still have most of the instructions for my complete sets. When I was a kid my mom used to buy Joes and Legos mainly from yard sales for me if she was out and about and found some. One time she came home with a huge box of legos, that she got cheap. I think about buying some of the cool sets when I see them. I really loved the Viking and Castle sets from the last few years. But my money goes to joe and comic books, so I have to draw the line somewhere.

I've always dreamed of having a Lego castle when I was a kid. Still do. Friend of mine got into the whole craze again and showed me all the cool stuff you can build with Legos. Since then, I've had my eye on a Lego Castle King's Castle Siege set (the one with the goblins and the dragon) that was discontinued in 2007. It now sells at $160 minimum from its original SRP of $99. I might get me some minifigs to use as customizable minis for tabletop RPGs.

I had the old King's Castle too. It was my biggest Lego set. I still got some of the castle walls around, i gave some of my Lego to my one niece. Think she not too long after that gave em away.
