Some of the best early article on international Joes are by Ted Isaacs (1994 Lee's convention book) and the Livanos/Wong self-published book. Of course, that info is more widely known and discussed now 10+ years later thanks to the well-developed 'net GI JOE fandom, but it is still a fun read from a historical perspective and from a time when such information was much harder to come by.
Thus, my old newsletters are fun for maybe the same reason. Keeping in the mind that the 'net/WWW was just getting started circa 1996, email and USENET was the primary communication method. All 12 of the old newsletters are parked here: YOJOE.COM | FAQs and Features |
