No...nothing against Marvel but I guess I'm just a purist, Joe is Joe, I never mix any other lines in with it. Come to think of it I never mix lines at all. Star Wars is Star Wars, Transformers is Transformers.
I do own the following 3.75's I keep with my Joes for lack of better place... -Deadpool -The A-Team -My Snake Pliskin customs -My Carl from Die Hard custom -My Custom Klokateer And the the only Corps stuff I use in my Joe collection all belongs to the Oktober Guard who had no vehicles. |

I sort of/kind of want to. The figures look great together, I have them displayed all together in the same ROOM, anyway..
but honestly; what possible threat is Cobra to, say, Thor? And why would the X-Men need the Joes? I just can't see it.

I love some of the stories you guys come up with. It's all so creative.
Personally, I don't play with my toys, I just place them in displays that I build, so I don't have a story (other than this army is fighting that army) so I have no problem with incorporating one toy line with another. I only display figures that fit that theme though. If I have figures that are too colourful or otherwise not uniform looking, I keep them in a box... See this for an example: Ian's Diorama (page 5) |

Hah! You guys have some great ideas, many of which I share. I'm jut glad I'm not the only one. I only wish the DC figures were more compatible, I don't even know what I would do with Lex Luther.
I've mostly shyed away from the Super Powers, and just made them highly trained individuals. However I try to include all the tech. I've passed over a few like Vision, Sunfire, Silver Surfer. But I try to find a place for them. Occasionally I'll shift them from bad to good or good to bad. Mainly Wolverine is a bad guy working with Serpentor. But here is the basic premise for me: Long ago Lord Destro XV obtained some unusual technology, and metallurgy skills. Generations later his offspring have used that technology to create the most advanced weapons on the planet. We know how Destro and MARS turned out, but related to him in my Joeverse besides Darklon, ...Dr Doom. Pretty much Doom runs a similar operation to MARS in Latveria which is in between Darklonia and Trans-Carpathia. And in fact the three have joined forces with their older cousin Magneto, who serves as the Chief metallurgist to all of them. The reason they joined forces is because another Destro relative in the United States seems to be leaving them behind in the Arms Race. That cousin is Tony Stark. Tony Stark's best friend is the newly appointed Senator of New York and Senate Arms Committee Chairman, Bruce Wayne. Well I still haven't ironed out all the alliegiances, but Cobra is more of a Private Mercenary Army based out of the soveriegn nation of Cobra Island. They love to help any national dictator remain in power. And they usually can help any country put down a national uprising faster than the UN can call a meeting and complain about it. So they are a somewhat legal entity, and they make their money through blood diamonds but usually by taking over all natural resource excavations. Needless to say they do have run ins with the Joes and its attached SHEILD agents. The main Terrorst threats of my Joeverse: Red Skull. Red Skull has had many a shoot-off organization. Mainly Red Shadows, but also Major Bludd and the Skull Squad. But here are how my alliances are shaping out: Dr Doom: Ultron; Titanium Man; Dr Octopus; Colossus, Wrecker Red Skull has Bullseye; Hydra troopers; Deadpool; Daredevil; Black Panther; Iron Fist and Victor Creed (I would do anything for a Crossbones!) Destro has Guardian (Who has stolen the tech from Stark industries thus they now have a suit with similar capabilities), and Ms Marvel (Carol Danvers) with a similar suit, but she is more loyal to the Baroness than anything else. And Ronin who is Destro's version of Strom Shadow. Magneto has Absorbing Man (Just disfigured); and Juggernaut, and Thor(Who is the chief blacksmith and may possess some ability no one is aware of and he's not talking) Nick Fury leads the SHIELD team that is attached to the Joes. Tony Stark as Iron-Man is right under him. Dr Reed is there as well and serves as the chief scientist. Iron Patriot is under Iron-Man as is War Machine. They lead the Heavy Weapons teams of Reactive armor suits and Steel Brigaders, and Battle Force with Steel Brigade Commander and Super Trooper. Captain America; Captain Britain, Cyclops and Luke Cage are SHIELD agents who lead the Urban assualt teams with the help of Winter Soldier, Union Jack, Punisher, Warpath and Black Spidey. Black widow I've just renamed to Mayday, but I'll add the Iron Man version whenever that comes out. I've renamed Bucky as Billy. I figure if my dad was Cobra Commander I'd probably go work for him. Wolverine X-Force costume works for Serpentor and Dr Mindbender. Archangel is another Nemisis Enforcer. Hand Ninja (Red) I've renamed as Sien Tien from the DDP comics That's as far as I've got.

Not really. I want to, but not sure how to add 'em in yet.
No super-heroes. Someone like Black Widow is hard because of her outfit, it just doesn't say "military". SHIELD, the Hand and Hydra can all be used as other organizations. Ronin would be a ninja. I need to spend some time and see how can work some of them in.

In my Joeverse Dr. Rex Lewis's grandfather was a scientist who worked on the Super Soldier Program that created Captain America. So the mad scientist gene is passed down the family line in the Lewis family.
Stark Industries, and AIM are there as rivals to M.A.R.S. That's the only thing I have so far. I only have a few Marvel Universe figures right now. |
