I was at TRU last night and noticed they had two full pegs of the new Star Wars vintage figures. EVERY FIGURE there was dog-eared.
I don't collect Star Wars - but man, what kind of loser do you have to be? What is the 'fun' in ruining the value of a collectible for someone else? I'm sure all of us Joe collectors are above such petty crimes... RIGHT? |

Some people think its an anti-scalper measure. Not sure how though. Could always be that the box got smushed a bit as well.

That sucks. I'm a loose collector but will probably keep them on the cards since I don't collect much Star Wars and don't display them.
Like the 25th joes, the packaging of these vintage figures is a part of the overall product and will help drive sales. Hopefully it was just an accident.

Star Wars figures are like cars. The moment you take them out of the store they drop in value. I would never do it myself, but I'd not mind finding one of those at all. Probably might not have been there as long for me to find it had it been in good shape.

That is pretty sucky for someone to do that. I also suspect it might be an alternative to stashing them someplace. You know, damage the goods so another collector will pass on it.

I'm sure all of us Joe collectors are above such petty crimes... RIGHT? I've bent cards. I'm own up to it and shout it from the top of the Empire State Building. Toys are meant to be played with, whether by children or pathetic middle-aged men. Think of it this way, someone out there increased the value of the one you eventually do find. |

Somebody took one of the corners of the cards and bent it over and creased it. You know like what some people do to mark their place in a book.

it was no accident... they were very obviously bent on purpose. It stuck out to me - because they were not just 'bent' - they were almost completely FOLDED.
