These aren't joe scaled folks, they are smaller, 3.5" as opposed to gijoe which is 3.75". The toys are fun, I only wish the cars were bigger. I had doubts when I heard Mattel had the license, then I realized they make Hot Wheels, and are innovative with toy cars(arguably the kings of toy cars), so when I saw the first one, I was relieved. I have Racer X's street car, and want the one that splits into 2. I won't be getting all of these, but these are fun, regardless if the movie will suck/tank.

I just want a Mach 5. Loved that car since i was five. A Mach 6 would suffice though.

I like them a lot. Not going to buy any but I feel they've done a great job. Only gripe is that there are so many scales I guess you'd say. But Like I said I'm not buying them so...

The only ones that look good are the Barbie and Ken set. The little ones are just terrible, even though Joel Silver said they had scanned the actors for them. Sorry, but no, that's not what it looks like.
BTW, here's the dolls- http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...ductId=2985570

from reading the op i got the impression that you think speed racer is just some random thing mattel came up with. its actually a really old anime that hollywood is making into a live action movie.
