I want an R2-D2 figure where you turn the head & it raises/lowers the middle leg. Which version does that? A local toy shop just got in a massive Star Wars collection & I looked at every version of R2-D2 but couldn't one like that.

I think the 2007 one with the "blast off" flames does that. Those are the ones that came with the coins.

There is an earlier release of R2-D2 from the power of the force collection. You may find him off Ebay.

http://www.hisstank.com/forum/toys/6...-question.html Yes & no. It says the only 3 that have this feature are the dirty Revenge Of The Sith version, the comic pack & the Walmart Droid Factory battle damaged version. But the guy at this shop says he just had a regular version that did it but it was loose & he sold it & now he doesn't know which version it was. I got all the astromechs I want but I still don't have a decent version of R2-D2. I got the comic pack version, I don't want the ROTS version & I have the battle damaged Walmart version on hold. I'm trying to find out exactly which version that guy is talking about. I've been searching all the Star Wars sites but can't find anything. So which version did this guy have (or thinks he had)? I posted this new thread because that other thread was pretty much about all the astromechs in general. This one is about R2-D2 specifically. I want to find out what version he had. But if the 3 above are the only versions that have this feature then I'll give up & just get one without it. He has a giant zip lock bag full of nothing but R2's but I didn't see one that had this feature. So I'll just grab one of the others. Here's another question. If I can't find one with the twist head feature, is there a version of R2 where I can either manually raise & lower it or completely remove it & pop it back in? I have 1 old crappy version of R2 here but the middle leg is molded to the main body. All the ones I saw either have the middle leg permanently stuck out or it doesn't have a middle leg at all. |

The only way to get one is through the Resurgence of the Jedi Four Pack. It comes with:
C-3PO with detachable arms Luke Skywalker in Farmboy Clothes (Uses VOTC Legs and waist along with 30th Anniversary collection torso and arms along with a newly sculpted head.) Obi Wan Kenobi (Legacy Collection Version with different paint aps) R2-D2 using the R4 Revenge of the Sith mold with a leg that goes up and down when you turn the head. Hasbro has mentioned that they have no plans to repack this specific R2 or Luke in the immediate future to hold interest in this battle pack. |

I should still be able to find it in stores? I'll pick this pack up & finally be done with the astromechs. |

Here is an updated pic of all of the Astromech droids which share the same retractable 3rd leg feature...
Astromech Line-Up! Top Row: R4-G9 | R4-P17 I | R2-M5 | R2-C4 | R2-A6 | R3-T2 | R2-Q2 Middle Row: R2-X2 I | R4-K5 | R4-M6 | R2-D2 (30-04) | R2-KT | R2-D2 (Comic Packs) Bottom Row: Razor Squadron Astromech | R2-B1 | R2-T0 | R2-D2 (Droid Factory) | R4-P17 II | R2-X2 II | R2-D2 (Resurgence of the Jedi) The Resurgence of the Jedi R2 is the one on the bottom row all the way to the right. The reviewer on Rebelscum.com says that after "20 astromech droids and 5 years later, and we finally get the R2-D2 that collectors have been asking for!" I disagree because he is a bit "dirty" towards the bottom of him. The perfect R2 for me would be totally clean!
