Mine were clearanced on monday and it was also posted they're on clearance in the PoP Figures thread monday. So true, though. It doesn't matter. They'll end up staying there forever like the Prince Caspian figures my TRU still has. Those and the T:Salvation figures are going to rot before they all sell out. Why does TRU not sell those to Ross instead of selling the 5 packs and SRO 3packs?

I don't know about other peoples TRU but mine will slap on a clearance sticker, mark it down a little, and it will sit there forever. Mine still has Indiana Jones Jungle Cutters and Hulk movie items.
With that in mind I won't rush out to get mine. Thanks for the heads up though. That is correct. TRU always puts their clearance items ending with an "8" and thus if the first post is correct about the prices being $4.98 and $12.98 etc they would be clearanced at that particular store.

They know that the extra 5 packs/SROs would have some additional sale value at discounted prices where the T4 and other toys would not. Just look at how many we snap up that wouldn't have been sold at the normal prices.

True. I've seen some T:S figures at Ross before though. I bet they'd buy just about anything they could sell for any amont of profit.

I saw this today too. All the tags had the red "Clearance" Tag on the bottom of them.

It seems like any movie toys that don't transform, come in a red and white ball, or with cards get the red tag treatment pretty quick. I think allot of the stuff only gets bought by weird old dudes like us, but that is just my opinion. I really don't need or want anyone to try and explain marketing, demographics, or supply and demand to me.

Yeah, as I originally stated, they were marked "Clearance" not sale.
Also, my Toys R Us still has Prince Caspian figures, Indiana Jones and Hulk movie stuff, too. I wish they would just clearance them out at $2.00, I'd probably snag a few. |

I might pick up the Gate playset if the price drops further. It is too bad that movie toys don't get much chance to grow.
I have to admit I was a little sad today to see tons of RoC NeoVipers on clearance at Target for less than $3. Not that I'd spend $3 on that particular figure.

Didn't the movie bomb? I mean like it finished 3rd on opening week... I'm not surprised it went on clearance so fast.
