A few weeks ago, Icon Heroes announced they would be making non-articulated action figure sized statues based on the classic Thundercats cartoon designs. Today, from Icon Heroes, we have our first preview of the Lion-O Staction Figure. No further details were revealed.

Hmm... I can't quite place a finger on what exactly it is I don't like about it, but it seems kind of bland/boring...

Well he looks like he is wearing crying clown makeup to me anyways, but then again it's only my opinion. EDIT: Here is a pic of what that Lion-O reminded me of right away... A sad hobo clown!

It'd be nice if these companies would stop using misleading names like "Staction Figures" and call it what it is.....a statue. I can only assume the term "staction" is a combination of static and action thus calling this statue a "Static Action Figure" with is about as oxymoronic as you can get
As for the statue in question, it looks good. I think it does have a blandness to it, but I've always though Lion-O was bland looking. They probably could have improved the blandness by putting Lion-O in a more dynamic pose like with the sword raised above his head or in front of his face by either calling the other Thundercats or doing the whole Sight beyond Sight thing instead of making him look like he's either just standing there or creeping around. Course they REALLY could have made the whole thing more dynamic by giving it actual articulation |

[QUOTE=Scoop;1715525]Maybe it's because he reminds you a bit of that one clown who is always crying at the circus.

Won't be buying these, especially since there's an action figure line coming out for Thundercats soon. |
