It was from the late 80s, IIRC. They were these sets of buildings (not the Building Blasters from Kenner that were made of girders) that came with a goofy vehicle with a character inside (I didn't care much for the vehicle). It was a demolition toy and you used the vehicle to tear down the building. There were these sets that I had:
"Abandoned Gas Station" - It was a run down gas station with a yellow gas pump out front and the sign on the facade said "Pump n Munch" "The Bridge" - It was a short bridge you could tear down (the least exciting one in the line). "Condemned High School" - This was an old high school with pillars out front. There was a combo set with a Dentist's Office (which was the gas station redone in different colors and had a green trash can out front) and a bridge as well. I would love to find out the name of this line, I have checked ebay and can not seem to find it anywhere!! I think it may have been made by Tonka, but I am not sure. Well, to dust off this ancient thread, I have in my posession a mint in the box Tonka Wrecking Crew toy. This is the line that you have been referring about. There was 4 sets in the first and only series in 88. As mentioned before the sets were as follows, abandoned school house, gas station, bridge, and the super bash set with the bridge and dentists office(rebadged gas station). The set I recently aquired is the abandoned school house and I originally own the gas station. I will try to upload my photos from my phone to give you some visual reminders of this great, and very rare toy line.

That is it! I had the gas station, schoolhouse, and the bridge back in the day. These were so much fun and made great joe hideouts.
