Although you never see MOC toys in post-apocalyptic movies; after all the nukes blow up and civilization breaks down… surely there must be at least a couple of toy collectors that will survive. All those guys do is stay in their basements and count their Cobra Island pack hoards anyway right? LOL. *just joking* And since there will probably be no more China in the new “day after” world… there will probably be no more toys either.
And thus I say the MOC toy collector shall become kings!!! Their MOC toys (even Star Wars Power of The Force 2, lol) shall suddenly become priceless!!! All the kids with their desert sand clinging, dust shrouded, slightly torn and worn down clothing shall worship the MOC toy collector and his seemingly magical MOC toy collection! I mean there won’t even be enough gas to waste on generators for any video game systems that survived… so toys will rule. Even John Conner can use some ROC toys to help him plan out his strategy to attack Skynet HQ. Heck, John Conner can probably use his own toy from the Terminator Salvation line to help him figure it all out… nobody bought those figs anyway; must have tons of those things left somewhere untouched by humanity. LOL. |

Ive thought of this before. Id use all my comics and tpb's for fire-fuel. And my toys Id use as weapons.

Well, a thing is worth only as much as a person is willing to pay for it. In a post-apocalyptic setting, cash will be valueless. Things that you need to survive and to protect yourself will be the most valuable. Fuel will be extremely valuable in the early years, but as the survivors settle down into their own communities, the need for traveling will grow less, and will either revert back to horses or bicycles, or necessity will help some of us create alternative fuels that will power our vehicles. Eventually these will begin to fall too far into disrepair to fix, unless society begins to rebuild itself to the point of manufacturing new parts. Tires, I think, would be the most difficult things to come by after fuel. All petroleum products. Action figures would probably be melted down to make more useful things. I think they would only hold any kind of value if the human race brought itself back to a point where they would have museums, and any surviving toys could be displayed as relics of our forgotten time.

Here's something to think about. Will a person who has a huge MOC collection be fiendish enough to plot and bring about the apocolypse in order to increase the value of said MOC collection?
