I hope there's a wave 2, these are good figures and the movie was a lot of fun.
Early press releases for the line listed Seso (the knife thrower guy) as a 4" figure and there was another horse/rider set with one of the Hassasins. Maybe there are more figures past the prototype stage already? There really needs to be a Tamina figure. |

A Tamina figure makes the most sense because in a way she is what makes the plot so realistic. If she came up to me and said, I needed to risk death and dismemberment to protect her and a magic knife, I'd probably say "ok."
A Seso figure would be great as well. On a sidenote, these are on sale at the Target by me, which probably means all Targets, but not listed by the weekly ad. I picked up the Target Exclusive 6" Dastan for $8.99 (normally $9.99) and the 3 3/4" figs price scanned at $7.19.

I hope this line lasts long enough for another wave of figures. Even if the movie isn't making all that much money maybe Target or Disney would want to keep the 4" line with another exclusive figure or two.

Sorry if this has been mentioned. But I was in TRU today and all these figures are already clearenced. I couldn't believe it! I haven't seen the movie yet, but from the looks of it, it didn't really make an impression on the kids that still play with toys or adult collectors for that matter.

That's bad news. But the movie is a lot of fun, I think people skipped it since it was based on a video game.

Its based on a video game? I thought Prince of Persia was an old tale. It appeared to try to capture the feeling of Pirates in a different setting and apparently failed miserably. Poor Todd McFarlane, signing on for a doomed toy line. The toys actually look pretty cool. If only they didn't have Jake Gyllenhaal, the movie and toys would have done better.

I'm not really suprized, my daughter saw it and said it would be a better renter, she has pretty decent tastes in movies so generally when she says something like that the movie bombs.
I hate to say it, but I don't feel sorry for Macfarline. I mean he has had a ton of chances. The figs were only ok IMO, not bad but not great. |

Heard a couple of reports these are showing up at Dollar Tree. I haven't seen them at ours yet. Good price for these.
