I've just beginning the collection of Transformers toy today.
i've bough Sideswipe (TF2: Revenge) with the price of around ฿400 . but trust me. the "legal" version is a hard find here in Thailand. only in a few "luxury" department stores do these things (in a few big cities available. even so if you enter a wrong zone you will run into bunches of Knockoffs! a new collector could be fooled by those Chinese-made Knockoffs even if the packaging reads "TRANSFORMERS" and use the same artworks as the geniune ones.

even in the shop that sells geniune thingies. I even wondered why there's no G1 characters. even G1 Convoy himself ono!

For everyone here. How hard you find the shops that sells geniune TF toys?

Here in the states, you have to go out of your way to find the knock off stuff and even then, it's pretty obvious that it's a knock off. We don't get the quality Knock off stuff that you guys get in Thailand.

Im not sure whether I should congradulate you or not, it's an expensive toy to collect. Your off to a good start though!

You can probably trade a lot of knockoffs to Americans for the real toys. There are a lot of knockoff collectors over here.
