Got my first OURWAR figure on Saturday (but was away the weekend) so putting up a brief review to complement Sci-Find`s great review http://www.hisstank.com/forum/toys/7...-sci-find.html
I have the Squad Leader & my mainstay to this review is also to show in US Modern Military vehicles if they fit & how well they fit. FIGURE Has the ball joints on the limbs. The legs on the figure are like the Marvel Universe which pop off the ball sockets in the crotch area. The ball sockets look to be plastic to. Once I have cracked open the torso it maybe possible to switch them with Joe balls (that sounds wrong I know). The torso I have not cracked open yet but will later if time permits. The head isn`t that great but suppose once helmet is on looks ok. The few Star Wars figures I have NONE of them fit (their ball sockets were too big for the OURWAR neck ball. Joes seem to be to small (though I did get one or two on But they don`t look right), BUT with a little dremelling they fit nicely. Duke`s head Flints Head One thing I found out & not sure if Sci-Find covered this, is the skirt of the jacket is made of a very plyable rubber. Which means it does NOT interfere with the legs when positioned in seated or action poses. Something I truely wish HASBRO & other companies would take note on. |

EQUIPMENT
The equipment the SQUAD leader comes with is pretty sweet. The working holster is certainly a nice touch for the pistol. The vest is as Sci-Find say`s easy to remove (akin to the Joe`s vests). Also comes with the pack, helmet & M4 & the base. The M4 I did a quick comparison with 2 other M4s most people use. ACU Uniform camo. Next I compared the OURWAR ACU to the two other types of ACU I have. The first is the Bravo Team DELTA Operator, OURWARS & the BBI SDCC exclusive from a few years ago. |

I don`t have time for any more photos but I hope this gives you an indicator of how good this figure looks & can be used.
Well I for one do plan on army building a few units with these. |

Great pics and info.
Mine has just been sent so I'm looking forword to seeing it first hand. I gotta say, that Bravo Team DELTA Operator does look rather rosy cheeked in that picture! |

Thank`s glad you liked it, first one I think for me LOL. Cannot wait for my other five to arrive (should have ordered a full set but got 3 squad leaders & 3 others & not all at once Doh!).
As for the Delta Operators rosey cheeks, well BBI Bruce Willis Biatch slapped him for picking on his ACUs HAHAHA So OURWARS had to step in & break them up. Last edited by panzer; 04-19-2010 at 06:36 AM.. |
