Does anybody here remember the old Sgt. Rock 3 inch figs made by Remco in the 80's? I had the whole line back when i was a kid and they were lost in a move 20 years ago. I've been looking for them on ebay and have found that they are hard to find and pretty pricey. Honestly, I remember them not being very popular when I was a kid so i was surprised that they are going for so much. Anybody know if there is a big market for them now, or have a general idea of what these things should be going for now? Thanks.

I remember the comic, but I don't remember these figures. Have you tried looking around in antique stores?

I do. I had a few but they were never a favorite. I would usually settle for one of these guys if the store I was at didn't have Joes or I already had them all. They were pretty generic. The same company made weird He-Man type knock off figures as well. Can't remember the name.

I had Rock and a couple others, don't remember who, i think one had a cowboy hat. If I can find them, I'd be willing to part with them.

Ive been finding them on ebay for like 20 bucks. Little much in my opinion. I guess the generic thing is what i sort of liked about them. They had a basic uniformity to them that the joes lacked and was a cool change of pace. For some reason, I always thought of them as the dirty dozen lol. Honestly, their accessories/vehicles/playsets were kinda cool.

I think I also had some kind of tracked amphibious vehicle with a BFG on the back. Sgt. D, if I can find any of my figs, I'd be willing to work out a deal with you. It might take some time, they're at my parents' house in various places. Let me know if you're interested, though, and I'll work on finding them.

I just checked on ebay..you're right there aren't that many listed. MOC Rock for $350...whatever
My last memeory of my Sgt Rock figures is placing them in the middle of the road and watching cars smash them to bits.

They were lame, but I had a bunch of them .. the good guys were various shades of green and the bad guys were various shades of black ... they served as labor for GIJoe and Cobra .. the only super cool thing was this little machine gun nest that was far too cool for Sgt. Rock .. so GIJoe used that .. I had like 3 of them.
Picked my first Sgt. Rock stuff in in New Mexico on a family trip .. I lucked out and thereafter found them for super cheap at some stores .. they were really cheap compared to GIJoe. |
