The only limitations are number of slots that are available. When I talked to Manny at Art Asylum, he was interested in putting a removable panel instead of the protruding slots. The upgrade or retrograding of the nacelles and pylons and the 2ndary hull and primary hull could be done after the primary toy came out, giving folks a cheaper more affordable cost and just picking up what they liked. I wanted to also have the nacelles change the semi-spheres to different colors or different design altogether as well as the rear endcaps could also be changed out, the tooling would be kept to a minimum and you would get the upgrades/downgrades every quarter or every other quarter depening on how things were going. I eventually wanted to see the PHASE II ENTERPRISE from the very first STAR TREK movie poster which looks like a cross between the STMP we all know and the classic 1701. I tried exploring different designs with lego and epoxy, I lost count of how many but if you check out that last website, there is a file with boatload of different designs using the classic, ENT A, ENT B ,the ENT C and the NX-01. I didnt care for the NX-01, but when the idea of going way beyond into the known frontier, I added a secondary hull for extra provisions, personnel and equipment, well, then it just made sense. The design for any dorsal neck enterprise has always baffled me, when I did this---adding an attachment to the underside and adding a secondary hull with a few lego blocks, well, it just seemed so on the right track with the engineering aspect.

I was also looking at TRU with the DISCOVERY kids section, there are several habitats you make with wood, they are pre cut and have a sticker on them and they fit tab a to slot b type deal, I was wondering if this could be done with a pre-cut printed on foamboard--ie fortress/facility look or possibly even a put together FLAGG superstructure, for a do it yourself FLAGG-cant find the pieces, but a 30$ superstructure, put it together and get a sticker sheet for markings on a plywood runway--make it any size you want. The punch out super structure would have the basic but much more detailed sections--at least the computer stations would look more detailed, just sell chairs/ladders/radar antennae and you are set. I know everyone is clamoring for a FLAGG but just imagine if you could let your kids play with, battle-damage--have tape on hand, major battle damage--Cobra wins this round Joes... set fire and destroy all codes with adult supervision standing and by and garden house primed and ready....jk...jk
