I still find some great 25th Anniversary Joes at Giant Grocery Stores -
So far this year alone I've gotten: (2) Resolute Cobra Troopers, Resolute Cobra Commander, Resolute Duke, Flint in Cobra Disguise, Rock N Roll / Deep Six comic two pack, and Barbeque. The price is usually $6.99 with the bonus club card. Another place that I look when I have the opportunity is Boscov's - it's a Pennsylvania thing but they usually have a couple "older" toys in their toy section, but you have to be willing to pay the $8.00 for them. Is anybody here old enough to remember when JCPennys had a toy section? As a kid, I remember my parents buying Star Wars figures for me that were behind a glass case and an associate had to unlock the case so we could pick the figure I wanted. |

Back in summer 2007 I was searching all over the DC area for 25th Joes. For the most part I couldn't find then anywhere but I was on vacation up in Cape Cod and I went to the Grocery store (Stop n Shop) and found most of the first 2 waves there. For some reason the Foil Flash was buy one get one free so I got a free on of those.
I found my GF a few isles away and she said it was kinda scary to see me turn the corner white as a ghost with arms full of joes. I was STOKED!

i got the same response from the cashier at k-mart the other day when i went to buy the pit + 11 single carded gijoes.. im 25.. i dont smoke rarely drink, and my mom looks like shes 12, so I generally look younger than i am..however im big into body mods and covered in tattoos.. so the girl looked at me like i was bat-ass crazy and was like "enjoy your gijoes" lol.

I remember Boscov's. There was one at the White Marsh mall.

Penny's at home still have their toy sections around the holidays. Didn't find any Joe's there this year though. They were loaded with Transformers. |
