Been having a hard time trying to decide whether or not to buy any of these. They do look dissapointing, even when compared to the relatively short Storm Shadow. I dunno. I may have to wait till I have one in hand and tinker with it before I decide. Some look cool, but compared to Joes and Marvel Universe, they are seriously lacking. Which is terribly dissapointing considering the awesomeness of the DCUC line.

Cyborg Superman, too. They also made some for Batman Begins, but I didn't try any of those.
Is Martian Manhunter the only updated ball joint Single Carded figure out? I picked up the 3 Public Enemies sets and decided to keep the updated figures around even though I have the better Microman ones. I believe a few of the characters in the upcoming six packs will have it too. |

No, there are a few more with the updated ball joints. Some of which are out. Earth Two Robin has it (but is a really dumb choice to put in this line IMHO) there is a new Black Adam with it that I got yesterday, and there is a new Deathstroke with it, but I haven't seen him yet.
Personally, there's something about the base body's torso I don't like. Can't put my finger on it though. Also, be carful when buying, the crap packaging can ruin the wrists.

I saw Deathstroke the other day. He has no weapons. Kind of ruins it for me. Also saw the Batman single carded. There's a few others that have the new joints, but I can't remember them.

Yeah, I agree that when you look at the awesomeness that is DCUC, it's hard to see how the same company made these. But I like 'em just fine. They don't have the articulation as Joes, but they mostly sit on my shelf just standing there, so it's not such a big deal to me. IMO, so long as they have ARAH Joe articulation, then it's fine, and that's what these newer figures have. |

COOL TOY REVIEW The V3 body, far right. Has less arm mass. A smaller v-taper on the torso. A fat waist. And legs that belong on a girls soccer team. COOL TOY REVIEW Batman is just letting himself go. Why fight crime when you can be a model for Abercrombie & Fitch? http://www.cooltoyreview.com/photo.a...E/DCIH-972.jpg All those Doughnuts went right to Captin Atom's metallic hips. Time for someone to start hitting the gym again. http://www.cooltoyreview.com/photo.a...ck%20lightning Black Lightning went from scary black dude to Steve Urkel. Lots wrong with the new sculpts. I'll propably drop this line once the V1 and V2 bodies have been phased out. Last edited by Bujo; 03-23-2010 at 01:45 AM.. |

Besides Batman, Superman, MM, Captain Atom, Major Force, there's Earth 2 Robin, Deathstroke, John Stewart (translucent version)... that's all I can remember off the top of my head, but this articulation should be standard in most of the new figures. For example, the new Mr. Terrific still has the t-crotch. WTF, Mattel?

John Stewart comes in a three pack. The others are single carded. You should start seeing those soon, since there have already been sightings.
