I'd like to start by saying I'm an old fart. I'm old school when it comes to my toys. I like "O" rings and I prefer less articulated figures. I believe too much articulation makes for more loose joints and breakage..but that's just me.
Anyway, I was looking forward to these guys from the start. I was a little young when Mego figures were in the store so I didn't have more then a few. I found Superman and Sinestro at my local Toys R Us Today and was less then impressed. First reaction was "wow, these are out" I snatched them off the peg and my excitement quickly fizzled into a frown and then pure disappointment. Problem #1 Price. $19.99 each...I expected them to be about $12.99...$14.99 at the most. Problem #2 Packaging. Paper thin backer and the bubble was starting to separate from all figures I saw on the shelf. Package itself was kind of cool nd old school but I stress CHEAP. Problem #3 Figure itself. I don't know, they kind of had a Mego look but it was slightly off. Almost homemade looking. Superman's stitching was already starting to unravel around his neck on one of the examples I looked at. I'm a DC nut so it was hard for me to not get these but I did pass. I'm hoping the Green Arrow figure (which was my first Mego back in the day) looks half way decent....If so I may break down and at least get him. Anybody else found these yet? Thoughts?

I saw them and noticed Supes outfit looked a little too shiny, like he was wearing polyester or something
Overall I ignored them as I'm waiting for Two-Face (maybe Batman if they redesign his cowl) |

I didn't think Green Arrow would be a retail release. He was on MattyCollector a couple of months ago and long since sold out. I'm not interested in this line so I may not be remembering the 'online only' part right.

Green Arrow is featured on the back of the card along with Batman, Sinestro, Lex Luthor, Green Lantern and Superman. Don't know if he's hitting retail or not. The back card art was the coolest thing about these figures. Had a Challenge Of The Super Friends kind of look to it. As far as I know Green Arrow and Batman are in the supposed second wave...could be wrong (as usual )

I spotted Sinestro and Lex at my local TRU this weekend. I loved Mego when I was a kid, but I don't think I'll be getting anything beyond Superman at this point. Maybe if they fix Batman I'll get him too.
