Toyark.com: We see there are plans on re-releasing the big name heroes in the DCUC all stars line-up, can we expect to see some of the sought after villains like Harley Quinn or Sinestro?
Mattel: We would like to get both of these characters out again soon. Toyark.com: Can we expect to see new sculpts and articulation for female characters in DCIH? Mattel: Yes. New IH sculpts for male and female figures are making their way into the line. Toyark.com: Considering Mattel's relationship with Warner Brothers/DC Comics, might it be possible for Mattel to acquire toy licenses of other popular properties now owned by Warner Brothers, such as Thundercats and Silverhawks? Mattel: Sorry, we can't comment on the acquisition of new properties. Toyark.com: Can we expect Movie Masters figures based off of the Tim Burton Batman movies series? Mattel: Nothing is planned at this time, but it is something we are looking into. Toyark.com: Does Mattel have any plans to release characters based on live action DC television properties like Smallville, Birds of Prey or 60's Batman? Mattel: Not quite yet, but this is something we are looking into. (Wow, that answer sounded similar...) If you have a question you would like to ask Mattel, you can submit them in this thread.

Hey Matty, why do you suck so badly?
Why are you so incompetent? Why can't you handle an action figure line like a real toy company? Why do you keep screwing up the MOTU line constantly? How many bananas do you pay the retarded monkey's you have working for you? |

Thundercats is with, I think, Bandai as of now. I don't know that they have any plans for classic Thundercats though. I think they're doing stuff based on the new toon (coming...?). Really wish the 4HM could get a crack at Thundercats though.

I believe I read somewhere in the past that they said they did in fact try to get the rights to produce a Thundercats line, probably figuring (correctly, imo!) that it could mirror the success of MOTUC.

The only thing "friggin awesome" is the way the figures look. Everything else about the line is screwed up. Just read the horror stories on He-Man.org every month on the 15th.

Besides, Mattel knows Digital River sucks, but who knows what kind of legal and financial issues they're dealing with as a result of their partnership. Yeah, we'd all like to see another company take over, but I'm sure it's not as easy as we think. Even setting aside any sort of legal issues as a result of their contract, there would probably be some kind of interruption in service, and who knows how long that might take (i.e. possibly no new MOTUC figures for a while). I could see why maybe they'd want to work with DR to make the service better rather than getting rid of them altogether. At any rate, when it comes right down to it Mattel is making some awesome figures - well worth having to deal with the hassle in obtaining them, in my opinion.
