Ok, I don't collect wrestling figures, so I figured I'd never have a Jakks Pacific toy (other than BnB Slaughter )
Well I started finding these night vision 2.0 binoculars on clearance at Target a couple of months ago under the brand name Eyeclops. They're pretty cool, they're IR Cameras mounted into a housing with an LCD screen inside. I picked up a pair then got to looking for a way to mount them to my head. That's when I found out about the 1st version which were goggles you wore on your head. Last month I'm at the grand opening of a new thrift store and find the night vision goggles in a bag for $2. I take them home and find out they still work fine! Only problem is they're missing an eye cover that opens and closes and the soft rubber seal that goes against your face. I start doing some research to see if I can find out who makes it and if I can buy replacement parts. Come to find out Jakks Pacific makes them, so I shoot an email off to customer service asking where I can buy replacement parts for the goggles. After a few days I get an email back asking for a home phone number so they can contact me. I send it out and a week or so later I get a phone call. The lady asks what was broken and I explain how I bought the goggles aftermarker (I used that actual term) and they were missing the two parts. She took down my address and told me they'd get the parts mailed out right away. I got a box today with a new eye cover and rubber seal, no asking for reciepts, no asking for shipping costs, nothing....just sent them to me Jakks Pacific has definately just gotten themselves a new customer (now if only they had other stuff I liked ) |

It's always nice to see a company take initiative and help out consumers after the sale. Thumbs up to Jakks Pacific!

WWE were fools for the way they treated Jakks. I collected the WWE Classic Superstars a couple of years ago. These figures were top notch: dead on to the wrestlers they represented. The new Mattel product doesn't look nearly as good. Hearing about the great service you recieved doesn't surprise me.

Isnt Jakks going to do a TNA line? If so I hope they do Joe size figs like they did for WWE. The heads were great for customizing and having the rings and accessories were great too.

I think I heard that somewhere. I still can't believe Vince & co. were such jerks to Jakks. I don't know all of the details of the lawsuit WWE filed, but it sounded like crap to me. Does Vince have to be the only one who makes money on WWE product?

Here's a picture of the Goggles (Left side) and the Binoculars (Right Side)
The Binoculars are definately better than the Goggles as they have the larger LCD screen. The goggles have a small (kinda like an old camera viewfinder) that goes in front of your right eye. Also the IR camera on the Binoculars is slightly stronger Last edited by Shogi; 08-31-2011 at 06:19 PM.. |

You got that for $2?!?!? That's awesome! Especially since Jakks fixed 'em for free.

Yep I just saw the Goggles at Walmart last night for $25 (Which is about what I paid for the Binoculars) I think the original price for both of these was $50-$60
