With the break of ROC and POC. I'm not buying any new toys until the new ROC/POC singles come out. That's actually unknown as to when that is happening. I also quit smoking, so even more money. I was tired of stinking.
So guess what. No toys. If I need a figure for fodder, I'll purchase it or trade something for it. But really, I like the idea of having a lot of extra money in my bank account. I might go to the toy show next weekend, but I don't know. Unless I can get fodder or stuff to sell on ebay I have no idea. It doesn't excite me the way it used to. So has anyone else just stopped completely? |

I've definitely bought less since Christmas. This month I've only bought 4 Resolute Troopers, a BAT, a Bazooka Trooper, and one of those evil Mighty Muggs that people bitch about here. It's an Iron Man 2 War Machine. It's awesome.

It's good that you quit smoking.
The only toys I've bought in quite some time are the Marvel Universe Green Goblin and Hobgoblin, and some MotU Classics. I only plan on picking up one more MU figure, Doom, and I'll be done with MotUC after Evil-Lyn, the Faker re-issue, Whiplash, and Panthor. :/ |

My buying has slowed down considerably, but not stopped. It's hard to stop cold turkey, even if there isn't anything new out. And I have kept myself from buying MU/SW while waiting for the next Joe stuff to come out so far.... But I have bought more extra Joe stuff - W5 vehicles, Cobra Island packs, 25th/ME stuff at Marshalls and a few clearanced ROC Joes. But definitely trimmed down spending. Now maybe I can save for that back patio this spring.....

I did. Long time ago. When ROC started.
My main interest shifted to DCUC but price increases have derailed that train. I'll be back when POC picks up.

Yeah, down to a near stop here. With only two Wal-Marts in the area near me, both of which being hard to get to via rolling sardine cans (public transportation) I've pretty much come to a stand-still, with only every now and then getting something new from people other than me ;) (Arigato Daremo and Sparhawk)
And even with being unemployed, I've still got a bit of skrilla to toss around...Just haven't found anything exciting to get. ROC really was a suprise though. for the 25th/ME I was buying MULTIPLES of EVERYTHING (easily 3-500 a month... OH look! 3 more Vipers on the peg! Those'll look GREAT with the other 20 I have on my shelf... Yeah, you know. Plus the buying figs simply for awsome upper/lower legs) With ROC, if you were lucky enough to find a fig you want on the pegs, you get em (besides the umpteen thousand turtlehead vipers from variouys multipacks, I think the most I bought was 5 of Helix). I was a BIG anti-ROC fanatic, til I saw em. 3/4s of the figs put out were awsome. But finding them is difficult. (I never got my 5 man Desert Viper squad, and the one I did have, I eventually parted out lol. No biggie though...POC Dusty will fit the bill just fine...as long as I can find 5 of them, or more.) I passed on a lot of the ROC stuff. Both figs and Vehicles, so it's been a very slow grinding halt (Ehhhhh...ok, I'll buy it) But come POC... FTW (I really don't know what the standard FTW means...I'm old, but I'm guessing Fuck The World?) LOTS of a lot, and a few can just go FO (Seriously...a Drednok tricycle?)

I havn't bought anything, NOTHING, since the Wal-Mart mini bases were first out. It doesn't look good for the POC stuff either.
Toy Fair '10 was a let down and my Bank Account will be better for it. |
