I have the new R2-X2 & the red astromech from the Target X-Wing. I love how you twist the head to raise or lower the middle leg. I don't like the ones where the middle leg is a separate piece that you have to pull out. What I want to know is how many astromech's did they release using the head twisting mold. Is there an R2-D2 like that? I wanna buy some more droids but I want to go for the right ones.

Rebelscum says it's a repaint of 2005's R4-G9
Rebelscum.com: Star Wars Revenge of the Sith Photo Archives These may be the only two with the retractible 3rd leg. I know there are a few R2-D2's that have a twisting head that will then make his tools pop out or something else happen, but I don't know if he ever used this particular body |

I need to get R4-G9. He was on my want list anyway. I wish there were more like this. They all should be like this! I bought 3 R2-X2's so I can repaint a couple of them. |

I didn't even know there were some that did this. I agree they all should be like this. The astro droid that I have that has impressed me is an R2-D2 that has a telescoped that comes up and down when you twist his dome, but the 3rd led one is alot better.

I thought that the 3rd retractable leg was pretty much the standard mold now.
I think that some of the droids in the 2 Entertainment Earth exclusive droid sets have them. Set #1: R3-T6, R3-T2, R2-C4, R4-A22, R2-Q2. Set #2: R3-Y2, R2-M5, R2-A6, R4-E1, R2-X2.

I'm pretty sure there's an R2 with the retractable leg. Only problem is, he's always looking to the side when the leg is in the "up" position.

I think the driod factory 2-pack with the battle damaged R2 from A New Hope does that.

These all share the same mold as R4-G9...
R4-G9 | R4-P17 | R2-A6 | R2-M5 | R2-C4 | R3-T2 | R2-X2 | R2-Q2 | R4-K5 | R4-M6 | R2-D2 | R2-KT | R2-D2 | Razor Astro | R2-B1 | R2-T0 I also think that R4-I9 has it too.

Razor Astro??? Now, which are the cheapest & easiest to get? I know the EntertainmentEarth packs & R2-KT are expensive. Last edited by Steelgrave; 02-24-2010 at 02:37 AM.. |
