There's a green and white one that's very currently released. I forget the name, but itd in the ESB wave with Willrow Hood and Snowspeeder Luke, although the droid itself is from the first film.
It may be more convenient, then again older loose figures are probably cheaper than retail. I thought it was a pretty weak release considering half the build-a-droids are astromechs, but I really dig the retracting leg. The build-a-droids legs just pop off. |

Yeah, that's the R2-X2 I was talking about in the original post. I bought 3 of those. I'm repainting 2 of them. Can't find them anymore. All the stores I've been to have been wiped out of Star Wars figures & aren't restocking.

The Revenge of the Sith R2-D2 (with the attachable flame accessory) has this feature.
As does the Comic pack R2-D2 |

The only problem is that the ROTS one is dirty, and the Comic Pack one is in comic colors, though he makes a good stand alone piece as just another un-named Astromech droid.

The twist up wheel is the coolest feature. I don't like the ones that just roll around.

I'd like to collect them but the prices are too high. I saw the EntertainmentEarth 5 pack ended at $71 & R2-KT goes for around $20. That's just too high for repaints of figures I already have. Hell, I can get a complete vintage Joe vehicle with the box for $71.

R4-M6 - Saga collection (Mace Windu's Astromech droid) R4-K5 - Saga collection (Darth Vader's Astromech droid) R2-D2 - 30th Anniversary collection (with flames from ROTS) R2-D2 - Comic Pack #6 (comic colors) R4-P17 - ROTS (Kamino Conflict) R4-G9 - ROTS Sneak Preview R2-X2 - Legacy collection (I think that you said that you have this one already) R2-B1 - 30th Anniversary collection (from TPM) By the way the red & blue droid listed as "Razor Astro" doesn't have an offical name, but it was released in the Target exclusive ARC-170 ELITE SQUAD (Battle Pack) so he might be a bit easier to get than the rest of the ones that were issued as part of the Entertainment Exclusive droid packs. One other figure which has the retractable leg feature is the damaged R2-D2 that came with Luke Skywalker (in X-Wing gear) which was part of Walmart's 2008 Droid Factory sets.
