I remember I could not find Croc Master and then one night we went into
this place call Cut Rate and there on the shelves were discounted old AND new joes... they even had a bin of broken toys that were like 30 cents... but they had figures on really banged up cards... I got a terrordrome (in a really beat up box) for $30. don't recall how much they were in retail otherwise. I remember I couldn't find an Orko and we went to a TRU and my mom saw one in a woman's cart and stole it when her back was turned. hahahahah. oh mom. |

This is a fun but odd thread...maybe it was just where I lived, but I don't think I EVER had trouble finding ANY toy I wanted, unless it was at Christmas time. I think it was Star Wars stuff that was tough to find around Christmas, like my Mom and one of my Aunts were looking for a couple of Taun-Tauns, and there were only two and she said they had to 'fight' to get them.
As for me personally, it seems like the Gammorean(sp?) Guard from the 'Return of the Jedi' line didn't show up around here for a while, because when I found a few at Big K (or it might have been Wal-Mart at that point), I called a couple of schoolmates from the pay phone to let them know 'I found him!'. I think there are just less toys and more collectors, and with the internet and video games, kids just aren't into toys the way they used to be...um, IMHO. |

V2 SE was tuff to find for sure! At the tail end of my early joe years I looked for Bullhorn and never found him.

Remember that Robin Hood movie that starred Kevin Costner? Well, that had a toy line attached to it. I had EVERY figure except Friar Tuck. Try as I may (and I tried) I never found that Fat Bastard. Joe wise though, I never found a V1 Storm Shadow inb the wild. Traded for him on the bus though.... and traded him away soon after... stupid, stupid, stupid! I have him now though... and I wont trade this one!
