The one that still pains me to this day.WAAaAaaaaaay back around 1982 i saw a Robotech transformable Cyclone cycle made by the UK company matchbox for about £7 ($10).
It was a lot of money for a kid and i was a right tightwad as well. Never saw one again and have only seen about 4 on ebay since. Current value? about £250 ($400) ouch!!

It was 1992 I wnt to a Toy Liquadators and I was looking around and saw the most startleing thing and I will never forget it.The Mask Buzzard. It was sealed like new in the box.I wasn't even out of high school.I was getting out of Joe stuff and mainly into videogames at the time.I could kick myself for not getting it.I didn't have the money.

I don't remember any thing that stands out, but I will say, as of the last 10 years or so, if I see it, I buy it....I can always return it later if I change my mind.

Very true, but every time I say I'll get it now and return it if I decide I don't need/want it, I always find a need or want for it.

Oh yeah, and on top of the short-haired DCUC Aquaman I passed on...
"Flame[d]-on" Johnny Torch from the Marvel line. Saw him twice in Targets at the outset of the series, along with his regular--I guess you'd call it flaming on?--version in his Fantastci 4 get-up and didn't know which one was supposed to be rarer. I wasn't really going to begin collecting the line (and still haven't) so I didn't pick up either, but in retrospect, picking up at least one would have been great for re-sale or trade bait. GRABBED X-Men Wolverines Iceman. I thought he must have been painstakingly rare because the figures had been around for a while and I had never seen one before, so I bought him. Turns out I guess he was rare for a time period, but towards the end of that line he became easier to find at retail... saw probably 5 more of him. However, I also came across the X-MO:W Gambit early in that series... Gambit is my all-time favorite comic character or X-Man, but thought $8 was waaay too much to spend on a tiny figure like that and didn't like the looks of his articulation, so I left him. NEVER SEEN ONE again... but at the same time, I also don't regret that GRABBED the Best of the 80s DVD pack I found in one of the most ghetto Wal Marts I've ever been in, and came back to work extremely giddy. Still glad to this day I got it. Of course, I also happened to find that one in the wild a few more times over the next few weeks making me think that pack was actually going to be somewhat more common, but that stopped quickly and the rest is history. I left them all behind but the one I bought |

@Nordlan: Ahhhhhhh, okay. *Whew* Thank God you weren't referring directly to the one I got as a kid and beat up pretty badly and then ended up getting rid of... I might have felt silly for all that :P
