What are your favorite toy books or sci fi books that you love.
After buying The Ultimate Guide to G.I. Joe 1982-1994 2nd Edition by Mark Bellomo. I just love this book. I would like to know if Star Trek, Transformers, Star Wars or M.A.S.K. have books set up like the GI JOE book that I have? With pictures and descriptions. Bookstores are limited. I want to know what else is out there. Last edited by redpony1; 03-01-2010 at 11:11 PM.. |

I got a book back in the late 90's that showed all of the gear from the SW original trilogy... Very cool... It had the fictitious explinations for each, but up close you can tell exactly what they used to build each prop...

I love the Ultimate Guide too and wish that there was a follow-up or expanded version of it (with more pictures etc).
As fro staight-forward GI Joe books I found (and liked) G.I. Joe vs. Cobra: The Essential Guide by Pablo Hidalgo Filecard like bios, descriptions of the various vehicles, as well as a history via the comics (and incorporation of some of the cartoon episodes as well IIRC) it was a fun read. The only thing is that it doesn't revolve around toys... so .. um... moving right along ... nothing to see ... nothing to see |

Mark Bellomo's guides are great. He got flak on his Transformers books for his photography but it is one of thee most informative, if not the most informative, books on Transformers G1 toys. His Ultimate Guide to G.I. Joe vol 2 is a must have, hell I still kept my volume 1!
Allspark Almanac for Transformers Animated is a MUST HAVE if you liked Animated. Though it is more about the cartoon with some snippets about the toys. |

There are two books from a while back that I kick myself for not buying. One was the Colonial Marines guide from Aliens. It showed alot of variations on gear for different environments. I believe it also showed a couple variant dropships and apc's. The other was a book on Klingon culture. It had their history and traditions in it. I've been looking for that one ever since.

I am looking for a Stars Wars book or a website that have schematics or blueprints or identification guide of all the space ships. GI Joe, Star Trek and Transformers have them, but I can not find any on Star Wars.
I really need something with a website that shows all views of all the toys. Like a gallery. Last edited by redpony1; 02-22-2010 at 12:48 PM.. |

I received Doctor Who Ultimate Monster Guide and Doctor Who Starships and Spacestations.
They have alot of pictures and information. Really nice to look at. I also received Gears of War2 Bradygames book. I don't have the system to play the game, but I wanted to get the cheat book to see all the graphics.
