My son's toy had the same problem. I sent an e-mail to Hasbro via their customer service section and they offered to pay me $100 in Hasbro credit or to send new legs. We got the new legs and they work very well.

Ok Folks!
Hasbro has Replacement Legs, I called them and got brand new legs.[That was when I got it last year] They're designed like that to collapse incase a kid sits on them. Contact the Customer Service Department, there is a number on the bottom of the AT-TE towards the Rear Unloading bay you tell them that number when you ask about the AT-TE's legs falling off. But I called them when I got mine and got the legs. Rebelscum.com: AT-TE Replacement Legs Detailed |

It's not a matter of moving the legs it's more a matter of they won't stay in the sockets. they fall out with the slightest touch. I did get it on clearance but it still sucks that he can't even stand the thing up. I think it's a big piece of junk anyway. Last time I purchase a big end SW item I ca tell ya that....

Thanks for all the info.....that $100 Hasbro credit sounds very tempting....If Hasbro made Ben 10 and I told my son he could have a $100 worth of Ben 10 toys or new legs he'd be at TRU before me..LOL

I can't remember what size plastic tubing I bought from Lowe's, but it was ridiculously cheap and I cut it in 6 small pieces, barely slightly longer than the pegs on the AT-TE's legs. And then I inserted each plastic tube piece "in" each of the leg pegs, therefore expanding the leg peg for a tighter fit in the socket. You can move the legs all you want and they won't fall of.
