MONOPOLY 75th Anniversary JAN 30 2010
Monopoly owners Hasbro will be launching a circular version of the board game to celebrate the 75th anniversary of its creation the company has announced at this year's Toy Fair. The game, which stays the same when it comes to gameplay, will involve players moving around the board as if it were a roundabout rather than the traditional square set we've all come to know and love. Again, the Monopoly board will do away with cash and the chance to raid the bank when no-one is looking. Players instead will be issued with a chip and pin credit card and a central console that plays banker Expect the new version to be in the shops later this year. |

Pass. I picked up Monopoly City with the WM exclusive Electronic Banking bonus. I don't need another new version.

That looks terrible. I understand the need to change up some game mechanics to keep it fresh (ie getting rid of the money to make way for electronic money keeping), but a circular board? Eh yeah this can't miss. I see clearance sales in the future for this thing.

oh no, it's new so it is crap. I'm shocked that is the response from toy collectors.
it plays just like the original but in a new form, I'm certain the general public that actually enjoys new product features won't have as much as an aversion to this as a segment of people who have shown nothing but a clear stunted mental capacity and fear of change and a borderline retarded dependency on things staying the same and getting the same things over and over again. I swear, collectors are like 3 year old's who only want to watch the same movie over and over again. |

I for one, think it's a cool concept. And if it's a spinning board, no more reaching over the table. I like the idea of getting rid of the money and having a lil' micro computer keep tabs.

Maybe, just maybe it might be a cool game.
I loved Mall Madness when I was growing up. So if it's anything like that, then I'm so in. |
