90's... POTF2 got me back into toys.... TRU's Stars and Stripes set got me back into Joes...
The only toy that i bought besides these was my R. Lee Ermy "motivational figure"... Now i buy whatever catches my eye... And a lot of crap tends to catch my eye... |

Yeah, if you count the late nineties when the Joes came back, those were about all I was into. I distinctly remember being in first year university, discovering Yojoe.com on the internet and seeing the preview pics of the TRU exclusives.
When they finally came out I was a bit disappointed to see that they didn't use the original molds as they had planned (and some of the pre-production shots looked killer, btw), but I still bought some. Unfortunately, due to me being a student, I could only afford the one Cobra command 3-pack and Rage. I had them for a while too, only sold them off a few years ago when I grew tired of them. Should have kept the Baroness at least, she was a nice figure. I prefer the Joe stuff from those years now. I had forgotten about that first wave of Spawn figures in the nineties. I was all about getting those at the time...

I got into Spawn. They were pieces of junk, but Image was so exciting and new and they pushed the envelope of detail to the point the Toy Biz's Marvel stuff looked like Playschool. Real Hair, Real chains and crazy amounts of paint apps. And of course Star Wars came back in '95. They looked goofy but were miles ahead of the vintage stuff. I was a fiend for those. |

I did collect some things like marvel, the tick, star trek, star wars, and spawn, but I really got into nes and then model cars, ships, and vinyl figures. I loved the Rockman(megaman) model figures from Bandai. Still have 'em.
