Picked up a HALO: ODST "The Rookie" figure.
Seriously, the worst figure I have ever owned. By faaaar. This is the first figure I have ever gotten that when I opened it up it broke with the slightest touch. Both his hands broke off at the wrist. If you've seen how the wrists sockets are designed, you'd laugh your ass off. It's like they are MADE TO BE BROKEN. Plus, his "Kung-Fu" grip bicep simply fell out of it's socket. And all the other articulated parts really are cemented in to place by the paint apps. I have HEARD OF problems with Halo figures, mainly the Spartans, but I have had no probs with any of them since I have been buying them. This ODST figure is terrible, absolute garbage. He's the worst figure I have ever owned. |

I was thinking about buying a few of those figures for my nephews but now I think I will just stay away from them. Thanks for the heads up.

This figure has so much potential, too.
The designs for the all the HALO stuff are overall excellent. I like the Spartans. Never had a prob with those. Like I said, this was the first one that broke on me. Nothing works about this particular ODST figure at all. |

They look awesome...it's too bad the are made like that. MacFarlane has a habit of dropping the ball on quality control.

Sad to hear it, not the first time either.
I was tempted to pick up a few of these, too. Glad I didn't.

You'd think McFarlane would've learned by now. We used to joke about Spawn figures disintegrating as soon as you opened them & air hit them. Some things never change.

I feel you, bro.
I bought an Appleseed figure, one of the team's soldiers--don't remember who--but he came with a nice weapon and I thought I coulda did something with his armor, but the damn thing broke just taking him out of the package! His ankle joint broke, then I tried to swap hands to place his weapon, and then the wrist snapped. And now his hip joint looks fragile, so I just threw in a the entertainment center. 10 bucks wasted.

I bought three of them I was going to make the whole team from the game but when I opened them some of their limbs were painted or glued stiff and wouldnt move one of their arms wasnt attached at all, other joints were so lose you could see through the gaps, oh yeah and one was missing a hand. I decided not to collect Halo after that.

Todd MacFarlane figures are crap. I have only bought a few over my years of collecting and they all have broke. The bad part is the figure can break just sitting there on the shelf.

Mcfarlane has made a fortune off the cheapest figures in the market. That is the whole deal sell you a turd of a figure that looks great in the package nothing else. Mcfarlane toys fans will tell you they are great figures regardless of the quality because they are intended for adults. Tell you what at the price those figure goes those things should have been a wayyy better quality.
