Sure thing brother. Said list should be in page 6 of the thread, 16th post on the page. Scroll down a few exchanges and the same poster (Abbandon) adds a couple more. The shocking thing is some of these 300$ figures are from just the past year or so. Crazy. With the line ending some fans are dumping their collections (I have never understood this mentality) but the added volume on eBay has done little to the prices. Enjoy, hit me up for any clarity. If asked back in the 00s, I'd have sworn that no modern line would come close to the prices of their vintage counterparts, but GIJoe, Transformers, and this line would have proven me very wrong. |

Thanks dude. I'm pretty dismayed to see certain figures there, the list literally seems to be made up of most of my first choices (of course!)
If asked back in the 00s, I'd have sworn that no modern line would come close to the prices of their vintage counterparts, but GIJoe, Transformers, and this line would have proven me very wrong. Example, we got both vintage and old promo art heads for Mer-Man, and many other figures. The line is very inclusive of many iterations of the brand. You have Vintage, She-Ra, Galactic Adventures, Comic, 200X, and the old Filmation cartoon included plus and some really nice conceptual figures or rare figures of the vintage line. We got most of the classic vehicles and play sets (Marvel Legends take note). I have a dozen opened figures and while I've always been a Hasbro kid I have to say that the quality of the plastic, articulation, and tolerances of at least the Mattel figures is really nice. There had been some grumbling over the consistent packaging for the main line but honestly I appreciate the consistency over the years. It makes the whole line feel connected. Not that their haven't been issues, some legit gripes (Fisto) and some fan boy pissing and moaning but over all I think MotU fans had a good run. My only lament is that there are still some figures that I'd like to get from the comics and the Filmation & 200X cartoons, and a few more classic vehicles but no other line will ever go this deep again. With the line ending we must chalk them off to never haves. Personally I think Mattel is making a huge mistake switching over to a slightly more articulated vintage line but if it grabs kids then it's a good thing. I don't feel that the lines would compete for the same fans so would have liked to see both lines coexist but C'est la vie.

For those that didn't see the news, they are relaunching a 7", 30 points of articulation line of MOTU figures next year. It is called Masterverse: The Evolution of He-Man. It is likely that the designs are based on the new Netflix show.
I'm not sure if this obsoletes my MOTUC collection or just confirms that it's now complete, since nothing new in this vein will be coming.

Well, He-man is where I draw the line on collecting nostalgia. I somehow ended up with some Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones & even friggin' Thundercats in addition to GI Joe, super heroes, Star Wars and Transformers. Enough is a enough!

MOTUC is the first line I seriously collected after giving up on POTF. So He-Man is just as important to me as GI Joe and Transformers.
I will have to see the designs, but I think I will probably just cherrypick the Masterverse line (Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Teela, and He-Man from the first wave maybe). I can't see them ever doing some of my favorites like Shadow Weaver or Entrapta, so I will stick with MOTUC as my main display.

Stoked for the new Masterverse line. I'm not digging the Origins line. Currently trying to make room in my display room for MOTUC Snake Mountain. The dimensions are huge.

When I was a Youngster, it was (in this order) G.I. Joe, Star Wars, MOTU, Super Powers, Thundercats. Always loved MOTU. In fact, He-Man.org was the first forum I ever joined.

I used to be very active at HeMan.org, but the move to Super7 and some fans' just excessive love for that company (despite their condescension toward MOTU fans, and their horrible handling of the line) drove me away.

Yeah Super7 just seems so shady and they (Super7) were such asshats to fans. I feel like with Mattel stepping back in the powers that be at the Org have quickly tossed Super7 overboard.
