I use to love these, my favorite was the lobster with the blue armor.

Did a major deal last month and picked up most of the rest of the line:
Even got Stone Cobra in the lot! Now I only need five left to have the complete run of Battle Beast/Laser Beasts. Hopefully it doesn't cost me more than $1000 to do it. The figure they previewed at SDCC was abysmal and there was nothing shown at Toyfair last week so hopefully their original concept is dead. It's sad that Diamond Select Toys got this license when there were a couple other groups that had been making inquiries on it for years who would have put out a kick ass product. |

I had a bunch of them when I was a kid. They were the sworn enemy of my Eagle Force guys. I only have one now that I bought at a flea market for fifty cents.

All of the series 1 2 and 3 battle beasts made it to the UK. The UK also got the first wave of laser beasts as did the US and Canada. France receive the Shield Battlers series so you should have quite a few of these floating around the UK. The late series Laser Beasts are strictly exclusive to Japan though, and cost a buttload unfortunately. For example the grey Stone Cobra on top of the Wood Beetle Vehicle goes from $350-$450

I was allowed to pick a toy for my recovery time before a hernia operation. I narrowed it down to a Night Raven, or a ton of Battle Beasts. Beasties, ftw.
I remember the commercial had such huge close-ups of the toys that they appeared to be He-Man sized! I was disappointed at first, but the size allowed me to collect quite a few. Was I the only one anal enough to switch the stickers so that the bear, fish, and bat matched their factions from the animated segment of the commercial? Also...wood BEATS water? By floating on it? Kinda weak, guys. No weaker than Paper covers Rock though. It broke my mind when I discovered that they were a Transformers spin-off. I wish Hasbro had the license. With all the Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Bakugan, there'd havr to be a way to turn them into gold! |
