Wow that is awesome. I want one.
Why do Legos need to be so damn expensive. :(

I remember the old one, when the Imperial Armada wore red instead of blue, damn this ship is really awesome! I always liked the good guys from the pirates line.

Now see, I have the Caribbean Clipper, that was the original Imperial ship, right? It only took me 15 years and a reissue to get the Black Seas Barracuda. Something about Lego ships... can't say no to them.
Anyway, I went ahead and purchased the Flagship, should be here by the end of the week, in fact. Given the cold weather around here, it oughta give me something to do for a few mornings after work and keep me from pestering the missus while she's getting ready for work. Oddly enough, she talked me into ordering the Redbeard's Bounty too. I must really get in her way in the mornings. ...Still need the Skull's Eye Schooner... I'll take some pictures when she's complete, the ship that is. |

Holy Crap. I've always wanted Lego to do something akin to GI Joe's 25th anniversary line in order to appeal to a nostalgic adult fan base. This is the first time I've been excited about a lego item since the early 90s

I just stopped by the local Lego store yesterday. They had this ship built and on display. My son and I were both amazed at how big this ship is. It's really more like a large play set. If I'm not mistaken, it's the biggest ship they've put out in mass distribution. I think you'll be really happy with it.

It's not cheap, but it's by far the nicest sailing ship LEGO has ever put out.
I am in the process of upgunning mine to eight guns on each side or so. |

I would totally buy that if I was rich, but then I have a thing for pirate ships. Master and Commander: On The Farside of The World is like one of my fav movies. I think I like Playmobil better than Lego though.
