I stopped in at Wal-mart this morning, because i was out, and i hate WM, but i only go to check for gi joes. Well, they didn't have much - one duke/cc comic pack, two carded scarletts and a carded duke. But in two different locations, they had 21st century toys' Platoon figues, fully stocked in both locations. I just thought that was a little weird...

Don't really care about those, but I can't wait for the Platoon Minimates coming out. Though its tough to tell from these pics from minimateheadquarters, the Charlie Sheen, Willem Defoe, and Tom Berenger figures, particularly, look pretty amazing:

these are always easy to find on ebay, and never for very much. the whole idea that a figure needs to have it's limbs replaced to strike a different pose is just a bit disconcerting for most, not to mention a hassle. and then you have limbs lying around everywhere. good for combat zone carnage i guess... but yeah, i'm sure they'll be in the discount bin in a couple of weeks.

great movie. just watched the 20th anniv. edition a few nights ago. last time i saw it was when it was new. defoe was(is) awesome. oh yeah and i just saw the mini-mates in the new toyfare. rad!
