I do not recall complaining about anything myself.

To answer the question directly:
He's gonna have the most badass awesome time ever with it! If he's bored, he can rub it in my face. That thing looks amazing, I just can't afford it, and even if I had lucked into clearance, I wouldnt have room. I'm sure pieces will get lost, but it is a toy. I'd bet its sturdy enough for today's safety tests. It makes toyish sounds, so it is kid friendly, aside from carrying it around to make it fly. I got my first Joes at age 5 when they came out and I'm sure I had Star Wars toys before that. He'll enjoy it more than I'd enjoy sticking one in the basement and sneaking down to glance at it I love this toy. Sure it is huge and sure it is costly but it is packed full of fun. Any child who gets this toy will have hours of fun playing with it. So all I have to say is Good for him.

Being that the dad is obviously a collector, I'm sure the Falcon will stay in tact....even if the 4 yr old doesnt know whats up with SW now..he will all thanks to dear old dad.
Props to pops for introducing the little guy into a great universe of fun and imagination....lets face it, theres a TON of junk out there these days...very cool that little man is startin' off right! |

Agreed. I got my Falcon in '82, so I was 5. It's banged to hell, but I still have it. Better that than a video game. I'm psyched for the kid. He'll grow into it.

I tried in vain to convince my wife that our little boy wanted the Millenium Falcon too, back when they were $49.99. She was pregnant with him at the time and for some reason didn't buy my story.
