Put an ad in Craig's list that you want to bye. Someone might not play anymore and want to get rid of stuff. Maybe ebay. What are you looking for. I think I have some Eldar figures that I never used. They came with the box set for my Space Marines.
happy hunting. |

I have been using The Warstore.com for years- always 20% off GW prices, cheap fast shipping, reliable and friendly. No issues in literally thousands of dollars of purchases.
One bad thing- and it's not their fault- GW refuses to sell to any vendor who lets you use an online shopping cart to buy their stuff, so go to the GW online store and build your order, then copy it and send it in to them at Warstore or call on the phone with the serials and they'll take care of you. My last order with them was a week ago and using their GW Bits selection, I got 3 Tau Devilfish for 42 bucks. Snap. |

Well, here's the deal:
1. Know what army you are going to play. I'd suggest going to watch some other folks game and see what they are fielding. If you do this, you can get a good idea of your forces' neccessities. It will also help to not be one of the guys playing something everyone else is playing. 2. Start with the basics. Get a simple starting ground force. Yeah, you may get stomped. But it gives you an idea of what you'll want to add. This prevents you from buying lots of crap you won't need. 3. Buy plastic when you can. They're cheaper and come in bulk. Simple as that. 4. Buy online. Hobby stores will charge you a lot more than what you'll want to pay, simply because Games Workshop will crush a hobby games store because of the way they want them to buy in bulk. There are tons of pieces on the shelf that won't move, and that's because some armies are lame. Games Workshop doesn't care, you buy ALL of their stuff to sell or you get nothing at all. 5. Choose an army that doesn't require a lot of troops or vehicles. Space Marines, Chaos Marines, Necrons, and even orks are pretty good about this. Imperial Guard and Tyranids have a LOT of troops and will cost you a lot of money. 6. Don't buy GW paint unless you really, really have to. Some of that stuff is like $2.00 a color. Get the Testors paint. 7. It's an expensive hobby, and you have to deal with it. I sold my Imperial Guard stuff for about half what I paid, so sometimes you can get rid of it without the guilt. There are others like me, if you don't mind getting a painted and used army- go online and look. |

ChaosOrc's Superstore
Chaosorc is a great store. I use to buy Fantasy from them a lot. Our local store went out of business because nobody wanted to pay retail. They ended up closing their doors and then people didn't have any place for tourneys anymore. I sold off my stuff after that. Support your local hobby shops. A lot of them will give discounts if you shop with them often. Our store gave us a free $15 for every $100 we spent. In Warhammer, that adds up fast. Granted its not $25-$35% off that online retailers can offer, its something though. Last edited by JohnnyAngel77; 10-20-2009 at 12:58 AM.. |
