Here's the link to the thread and you can see a pic in the link in the first post. Hope these get made as the fig looks pretty cool, despite the limited articulation,

Hmmm? I wonder why all of a sudden WWE, DC and others are getting on the wagon with 3 3/4. Can't it be a certain movie that is coming in 09.

3 and 3/4 inch should have been the standard scale to begin with. All the money I wasted collecting 6 inch figures could have went to 3.75 inch figures with playsets and vehicles. Stupid McFarlane...

I'm really hopeful for the Infinite Heroes line, especially since I just started really getting into the DCU. I was never impressed by any of the Batman Begins figures in this scale, and I don't know why The Dark Knight would be different.
Note: not a knock on the movie. Movie was brilliant. Toys didn't thrill me.

meh.
looks like robocop with a batman head. i just donot like the new suit design. i thought the keaton suit was great. (except the for the neck problem) looks articulated, but not anywhere near joes or micromen. i can barely see an elbow join on his left arm. hard to tell if his shoulders are ball socket. i think they gave him just enough to sit in the tumbler.

and I'm sure that it's a heck of a lot cheaper to use 25%+ less plastic or so.
The 3-3/4" scale has been popular ever since Microman appeared in Japan during the 70's, and Kenner decided that the scale was perfect for their Star Wars line with figures and vehicles(it was originally set for 8" scale!). Ever since then, its been a successful scale in the industry. Its one we can truly say is timeless. |
