The Robot Heroes/Galactic Heroes/whatevermarvelfiguresarecalled are all very hip novelty items.
I do not own any, but if they released Joes in this style, it would not bother me any.
The figures are pretty popular, and are aimed at children, and like I said, they are a hip novelty item.

Don't worry guys. We won't see cute SD Joes until the movie comes out. They save that kind of stuff until the brand is at it's height for whoring out. We'll also get 6" G.I.Joe/Rescue Team styled toys, Roadblock hands that rhyme a phrase when you hit something, and a plastic mask that makes your voice sound like Snake Eyes. That mask will definetly be the worst.
