collecting a few choice pieces. They seriously need to re release / remake the invid troopers, bioroids, hovertanks and Zentraedi. oh and everything else. New figures would be so close to the anime cartoon.

Man I love Robotech....I have two of the Exosquad releases, the mech with 4 cannon arms and the one with rocked pod arms. I dont have the money to blow on Robotech, what with collecting Joes and absurd car payments, but I would LOVE to get my hands on a Cyclone. Had one when I was a kid =D

HG Own the rights to Robotech, there is no timeframe. The Macross aspect I truely do not know. Though I don`t understand the complete in & outs on that. It`s something where the parasites (Lawyers) get rich from being pedantic.
Here`s hoping something New & Great does come forth for both Robotech & Macross,Mospeada Fans. |

I got lucky finding the 2 Cyclones...I have one paid $40 for it and paid $30 total for the 2nd Non Transforming one with Vintage Rand figure.....
just takes a matter of constantly browsing ebay.....24/7 to find the awesome deals since both were just listed that I found dirt cheap.... |

I hope Harmony Gold losses the rights to Macross. 10 years of legal battle? How do they pay for their case? HG hasn't made a whole lot of money from Robotech in the last 15 years.

Licensing Robotech hasn't produced much product for western fans. Shadow Chronicles was too little too late. Fans won't buy re-released dvds forever. Toynami mechs are overpriced and poor sellers. Much were discounted. Imports had much better quality.
If you were a fan who hadn't seen Robotech since childhood, you might have thought that Harmony Gold was doing a noble thing, paying respect to a classic, but those in the know knew, it was too little, too late. Shadow Chronicles was delayed for YEARS. The Beta MPC was delayed for at least 3. The Shadow Chronicles sequel? Last I heard, despite Harmony Gold's claims that it's going smooth(similar to what they say about the live action movie), there really isn't much happening. Toynami's toys have to be sold at MSRP for at least the 1st 3 months if I recall correctly. After that, the retailer can discount them. Ever wonder why etailers would just charge $79.99 for the 1st 2 waves of MPC Veritechs? It's because they had to sell for at least $79.99, the indicated msrp, but at the same time, knew most of the fanbase did not want to pay that much. This is why you saw etailers slashing prices months later, because at that time, they could. If the toys were not sold at msrp for the 1st 3 months, Toynami would not longer supply them with the toys. Add into that, compared to the Japanese offerings, the Toynami toys came up short. They are decent toys, but they were far too overpriced. The only ones that fans didn't have too big of a deal paying up for were the MPC Beta and Voltron, that's it. Maybe the 1/15 ride armors. The VF-1 and Alpha MPC's were overpriced. Quote:
Going forward with the unpopular Mospeada as a source was unwise.
