This is going to be tough...What in your opinion is the best action figure ever released. Mind you it does not have to be GI Joe, it can be from any line. I say the best based on the following:
1. Aesthetics - How good (e.g. realistic, accurate, etc.) does it look? 2. Articulation - How articulate is it? How many poses can you do with it? 3. Playability - Is it something you'd love to tinker (okay, I say it) play with it or is it shelf display fodder? 4. Popularity - I think this is a minor category but I would like to think that harder to find figures are a bit more desirable. However I don't necessarily think agree with this (you'll understand why when you see my choice). With all that being said, my choice is the Mark III Iron Man Armor Figure from Iron Man the movie. I thought this figure was real nice to look at and it really looked like the Iron man character in the Movie. It has tons of articulation and I just think it's the best figure out there. A close second is the first Snake Eyes from Sigma six. Honorable mention...Masterpiece Optimus Prime (Takara Version) because of the the smoke stacks issue with the Hasbro version.

Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) Series 6 Juggernaut is definitely one of my favorites. Not super-rare but not super-common either, great articulation for what he is, and a fantastic sculpt. The veins on his arms are a bit much, but don't really detract overall. Plus he looks hella menacing towering over your other (normal size) ML figures....
(Not my review, but lots of pics): Michael Crawford's Review of the Week (Careful, it might make you cry when you realize you could get this figure in 2003 for the same prices as a single RoC figure now) I also really liked the Marvel Legends "Hulkbuster" Iron Man and the first Colossus figure from that line. I'm kind of a sucker for the "oversized" figures for some reason. I guess because it feels like you're getting more for your money. |

bro, i went to a goodwill store over the weekend, an there was a spiderman figure that was a foot tall or more, an it seemed to have the articulation of the 25th joes? i'm not really a toy guy so it was new to me.. but have you ever seen this, it's evident that this is out of scale to what you are talking about.
It's got more articulation than the Joes, each of Spider-man's fingers has 3 points of articulation.

The 25th Joes have been the most fun to collect due to nostalgia...But the guy who got the most play value was my Toybiz 1989 Batman movie figure. That with their Batcave, Batmobie and Batwing and other Bat figures were probably my favorite and oft used toys.

"Best"..? Dunno. My favourites though:
The McFarlane Natalia Kassle from 'Danger Girl' The "Tomb of the Cybermen" Cybermen from the DR WHO CLASSICS line as I've been waiting for these for years. Clobberella and Captain Yesterday from the FUTURAMA series. Original ARAH Zartan... sublime! The Hot Toys "Dutch Schaefer" from PREDATOR. I got it for my sister for Christmas and am looking at the box right now. It's stunning..
