Yeah i only have my son to play with and I have to beg him to play with his figures as it is now.
Another small issue i have is terrain. I don't think i have enough. |

Man. (I don't know if you know but "terrain" for table top role playing games is a task in of itself. You need a building, a point of interest, some cover. Some in the middle of the play space, some on each end for players) I have a space building i upscaled from dragonsrest outpost origins mini terrain, my son's imaginext buildings, big space ships, a couple of Ghostbusters firehouses, but i need some cover and not every setting can be the same places. I hope it says what terrain types we'll need and some ideas how to make it will be in the book. Just as a starting point. I watch a lot of ttrpg building content but i then try to upscale it in my mind if it's worth pursuing and most of it isn't. Upscaling a 3d model works but most people don't have access to that. A HEAVY character would also have limited movement and range but their special attack allows you to target two enemies at the same time. As far a cover objects and buildings, this is something we would like to implement but it would hinder the quick and easy gameplay we're trying to acheive. There are advanced rules in the works that will allow for more immersive play. The main goal is to make it accesible and not something that takes a masters degree in order to explain the rules. Hopefully we can show that when we start demoing the game at conventions and show how easy it is to explain the game while you play. We know the industry is changing which is why we are targeting kids and families. The toys are for the adult collectors. Speaking of which, enjoy the soft goods. |

too freakin cool man.
yeah i was wondering what the plans were for terrain. if i am building any terrain, it would have to be something quick (because i have so many abandoned projects). i assume a lot of the guys here have never played a ttrpg (myself included, but i collect books for different games and watch a lot of ttrpg youtube) and there maybe a section on what they'd need as far as that to play; but not have any idea what the heck it is or where to start. |
