I still plan on getting a Skyhawk. They could both be awesome together. I agree I don’t see a Skyhawk until at least 2026.

Yeah, if Hasbro releases the Skyhawk, I'd likely get it too. It can be just a different variants.

Yep, bit the bullet and ordered an Air Eagle from Bombusbee now they're back from Lunar New Year vacation.
(never Chinese New Year, they don't have a monopoly or ownership on it, many Asian cultures celebrate it). There was a 'new member $10 discount' coupon for creating a Bombusbee account, yay! They were the only online retailer I found with actual calculated airmail shipping fees and offered regular airmail. All other retailers (China, HK and US) just had an expensive flat rate for expedited/insured air and only found one local Oz retailer but he's still at pre-order stage and no stock yet. So all up the purchase was $96.39 US to ship by air to Australia. Like a Stinger price only no figure, happy little camper ![]() Should be looking at 7-9 business days shipping with allowance for any customs delays. You bloody beauty!!! Quote:

If I'm being realistic, I'd likely get a official 'big scale' Sky Hawk also, highly dependent on RRP and who Hasbro decides will pilot it. A generic greenshirt female pilot would be a dream fulfilled.

After the render-fest, Hasbro has a very full dance card already, my gut says perhaps very late 2026 if the Classified team are working on one. His v2 figure piloted the Ghost Hawk. Both would be great in Classified, as would the massive Tomahawk.

Joe collectors struggled to find space for the Haslab Dragonfly, imagine the real estate required to display a Classified size Tommy-Hawk.
![]() I think it's because I'm near the end of Sunbow Season 2 that features Lifeline and Lift-Ticket prominently, that I most associate Lift-Ticket with the Tomahawk. I'll get to a Marvel/Hama Joe refresh soon but for the majority of the Sunbow mini's and main seasons, any old Joe jumps in a Sky Hawk and is a pilot for that episode. Mainly Duke and Scarlett and even Shipwreck in S1, with frequently Flint and Lady Jaye in S2. When it arrives, I'm thinking Cover Girl and perhaps new retro Breaker when he arrives. I am a right little b*stard in real life ![]() ![]()

I pulled the trigger on the Air Eagle as soon as I saw the first YouTube video of one actually in hand that confirmed it can be modded to the classic engine/tail fin layout. I preordered from TFSource, as I have purchased 3rd party and import Transformers from them before, so I know they're reliable. The price was $107 with tax and shipping. I don't mind waiting a little longer to save the $50 in shipping directly from FT or avoid getting scammed by an unreliable seller. If/when Hasbro makes their own official Sky Hawk, I'll get that one too and probably put the Air Eagle wings back on to make it a Sky Hawk MkII or something.

Your set-up looks nice. It's strange on my part to mention this, but depending on how good your peripheral vision is, and how much light is in the room, it could become distracting seeing the AE moving and reflecting a gleam of light every time the HVAC cycles. Especially if it's always blowing air.

It's gotta go somewhere though! Again, as you mention, if you're going to buy the vehicles, you gotta prioritize their space. I may just retire some figures or the multiples I have to a drawer if I need to make space in one of these cubes for the Air Eagle / SkyHawk. Last edited by DFender; 02-07-2025 at 03:34 PM.. |
