No better or worse than other 18ths, altho the tunic does move around a bit to accommodate the motion of the arms and neck since it doesn't actually connect to any other piece. The Trek phaser rifles I know of don't have large shoulder stocks (since they're reactionless weapons) so they *should* be able to wield them better than stocked bullet-firing guns - assuming you have any phaser rifles to use.
