That's another argument for making Kelvin Uhura, as if there's the opportunity to complete a crew, that would probably tip the scales for me to get Sulu and Chekov. That said, unless the pace of the line goes bananas, I may very well just end up buying everything anyway, since releases are spaced out and it's barely started scratching my Trek itch.

If no Uhura can we at least get a Zoe Saldana clone? She's awesome. I haven't gone in on any of the Trek figures yet but the two Pikes look good. So does Nero. If they bring Sisko and Archer into it, or Jadzia, I'll likely not be able to pass them up.

At this point I fear the reason for Uhura's absence might lie in the racism against black folks I hear is prevalent in China. They've made women for the Judge Dredd and now Joe lines, and Judge Giant is so far the only black character they've made afaik; but is Uhura being both a woman and black too much for the Chinese market to want? Is there another good reason for getting two entirely different Pike figures before her?

Also, I want an SNW Uhura even tho I think of her as a diff character.

She sure can sing! Her version of the character is more interesting but ZS made the most of what she was given to work with.

There ya go, they've made two black *men* so what's the hold-up on a black *woman* from what has to be a far larger license even in China? I don't want it to be racism but I'm not see much other reason. Would Zoe have reneged on face-likeness rights for just this one toyline all of a sudden?

Hiya has revealed a Michonne figure from the Walking Dead. Who knows what toy companies are thinking, we don't get much insight into the decisions they make. Kelvin Uhura could still show up.
