That drone looks badass. I really hope they do the cobra blue one as well as the grey. I did get the red Okami. A hind helicopter would be amazing. Can’t wait to hear more about their future plans.

So I've had a couple of months to play around with these figs now, and I LOVE them! They are the true heir to the vintage o-ring Joes. The look and feel is just like those vintage figs. They have the articulation, the detailing, the gloss. And just the right mix of military realism with a dash of fantasy
Pros: -thoughtful, detailed designs with cool little details, like sculpted knives, pouches, wrinkles. -added wrist articulation -the weapons are highly detailed, right sized, realistic. I love that their backpacks can hold their weapons. I love how some of the helmets also have things to attach. -even without reading the filecards, each figure has its own “character” that shines thru. Much like the vintage Joes did. Cons: -a couple of mine have the t-bar/leg mobility issues -the neck articulation on some figures isn't great, they can barely look side to side, but this also applied to some of the vintage Joes. I understand wanting to follow the vintage design, but if you can upgrade to swivel wrists, it may be worthwhile to upgrade to the modern pop off ball joint heads too. Although that would more visibly alter the vintage aesthetic... -the price. Look, I get that these are boutique collectibles more so than mass market toys, but man $25 per fig stings. When I first saw them I was ready to buy them all, but at this price I have to be selective. I liked what someone said in this thread about offering cheaper bagged version for those who don't care about packaging. Favorite good guy: Rooster. What a badass figure! Favorite bad guy: Thunder Battalion (Spetznaz). This is the figure I have been waiting for since 1988!! |

The first thing i do is swap the t-bar. Its just too thicc. I love these figures though. I actually took a look just now at the red okami t-bar and its totally different than the rest of wave 1. I have a feeling once they burn through the initial stock we won?t be dealing with this t-bar issue ever again.

I recall one of the Delta-17 creators saying they were addressing the t-bar issue with the factory after it was first brought up.

Yea its more or less addressed. If you reach out to them they will send you t-hooks/t-bar. The Red Okami appears to be the new standard. I am looking forward to any news on the wave 1.5 figure, the Maelstrom mech drone figure.

Hey guys.
Sorry for not checking in more often. Don't bother turning your t-hooks around, instead reach out to us and we'll mail you a set for free. Email us at delta17toys.com and tell us your order number and we'll set you up. Right now Canada Post is on strike, so I'll only be able to send them out to customers in the USA via USPS. In other news, our holiday sale starts on Thanksgiving day and will continue until the end of the year. Come check it out. Thanks for all the kind words and don't be shy, reach out to us at the email above! Steve. |
