im a broken record here - the prices they put on their toys, they've priced children out of getting them. that's the bottom line.
if they dont have some schlubby toy collector dad like us buying them, their outlets of getting them are pretty damn slim. no one out side our toy collecting world bubble is going to pay 20 bucks for a 4" action figure. those people are just as important to keeping toylines afloat as we are. i really dont care about the cost of plastic or whatever. it shouldnt take a kid - if they're lucky enough to have 5 dollars for allowance a week - 5 weeks to buy a figure and pay the tax for it. it's stupid and it's wrong. just some additional thoughts: i have the vintage indy of this version and while he's not complete, i think i paid 5 bucks for him. i also found a map room model designed by cryoguns(?)/gsargent on thingiverse; while not with my indy, i plan on tossing it on the side of a space station im never going to build as an easter egg. Otherwise, they all go for pretty cheap except Elsa and Connery. Probably because by then the line was hard to find. |

Nah, there were tons of that wave produced. Some characters are just more popular, and as the supply for stolen factory items from Chinese sellers has dried up, demamd and prices have increased for a lot of the figures. The Temple of Doom wave is in demand too. That's not saying they fetch ridiculous prices, but except for multiple versions of Indy, they all sell consistently.

Yeah, I loved that Elsa figure for more than just as Elsa. I'd kill for a re-do with hip joints instead of failures.

Sorry, I meant the Last Crusade wave were produced in large quantities. The SDCC exclusives were definitely limited, but probably not as limited in numbers as people think. A lot of people who have them just don't want to sell, and those who do sell want a shit-ton for them so they don't sell very quickly. I gave my brother a loose/complete Mechanic, a loose/complete Marion and a loose/not complete German Indy to list on ebay, and they fetched a couple of hundred dollars combined. Maybe $250-270...I can't remember. People want them, they just don't want to pay the ridiculous prices people are trying to get for them.

I was able to buy whole waves off Ebay sometime in 2013-2015 ish? Iforgot the exact date. They were all there, German soldiers, Marion, Short Round, etc. I missed out on Elsa and the German Commander guy sadly. That Indy Russian Soldier in particular was found in hilariously high numbers, you could buy them in bunches of 5, 15, 50, to 100. But yeah, you can still find the weird Naked warrior guy figure in large numbers on chinese ebay. Those figures were not found recently, THEY'RE the exact same ones Chinese ebay found in 2013 ish. |

It stinks that recently the prices are going back up.
Been trying to buy more of the Cairo Thugs for Mujahedeen fighters for my Joes to fight and they aren't cheap. Others must have the same idea. Did pick up the three multipacks for $40 combined, though. Worth it alone just for Connery. |

If I see him in store, I may get the Belloq figure just for the priest costume, but other than that I have zero interest in 5 POA action figures.

I remember getting Ceremonial Belloq as a mail away figure back in the day. Don’t recall if he was later on available on pegs.
