Thank you. My next allowance is likely already spent too, but those pics are really helpful. I may start saving and eventually grab one of those.
I truly appreciate the help. Thank you. (Also, those pictures are awesome). |

Thanks for the kind words, and you are more than welcome! Also, someone in a Monster Force group shared that bootleg Hellboy figures (del toro version) are available on Ali Express for 20 bucks or so, if that helps.

It does look like there are many affordable options there. I have never ordered from Ali Express. Is it a pretty trustworthy venture?

Almost by definition the answer is no, since they largely (exclusively?) deal in bootlegs and knockoffs, but funnily enough my friends who've bought from them have had positive experiences.

I just got all the figures in from the first wave. I think they are all awesome. this has instantly become my second favorite toy line (behind GI Joe). I love all the versatility in making the troop builders. Plus, the colors of the figures look great. I like that they are built like GI Joe as compared to Marvel Legends.
The only thing I have a concern about is all the figures are the same height (except the Kilowargs of course). I saw the Toy kind of mood channel and he has photos of the wave 2 and they look all the same height. |

I suspect we'll get shorter, taller, etc. characters in O:MF eventually. |

Inspired by my friend Jarred, who's been sharing customs in Facebook groups, I have taken to kitbashing new figures for my monster hunter squad... or in some cases simply taking a given figure and recruiting it into this context.
First up, it struck me that Major Bludd gives off 1930s Nick Fury vibes, so he was my first "recruit": I've been playing with the idea that maybe a monster destroys most or all of the Joes, leaving Cobra in the unique position of being the world's saviors. But most likely I'll just use Bludd as a monster hunter and leave it at that. Up next, I gave Gung-Ho a cowboy makeover and added him to Monster Force: Here's Gung-Ho teaming up with Roadblock, who I've also upgraded a bit: I'm also thinking of adding my lazy Casey Jones kitbash to the ranks, 'cause lord knows he's run afoul of weird things: Same with Ash Williams, aka Boomstick: Moving on, I enjoyed James Gunn's Creature Commandos, although a little of his juvenile sense of humor and tryhard edginess goes a long way for me. Mostly what I liked is the variety and distinctiveness of the character designs... so I've started amassing and kitbashing figures for that context, as well, and McFarlane's transparent Solomon Grundy, which comes packed with a goofy Batman figure, is awesome, HUGE, and currently available for $31 (with the aforementioned Batman) via Amazon. I'm using him as a riff on Doctor Phosphorus, but he would lend himself to any number of monster scenarios: I've been putting together an Adventure Team crew loosely inspired by Creature Commandos, and I like to think they look somewhat Monster Force-like, as well: |

I just opened both my Kiloworg figures and set up my Monster Force shelf today. I am so enjoying this line.
