You see, BBTs is heavily reliant on Entertainment Earth for their logistics
and some of you might have heard of Entertainment Earth being late to ship to Megalopolis and Dorkside being a factor in their collapses. Well, I want to post here an illustration on the fact that I believe Entertainment Earth is not the greatest company to rely on besides the slow shipping. BBTS quoted prices of 15 https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Produ...Details/221387 https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Produ...Details/221386 Entertainment Earth is 17 https://www.entertainmentearth.com/p...figure/mthlp35 https://www.entertainmentearth.com/p...figure/mthlt48 This is a common practice for Entertainment Earth to price the shipping into the product or just increase profit, and as a company other companies rely on for distribuition . . . . . this is not an ideal turn of events as you become reliant on them not bumping prices up to prevent an increase on your own price. Unfortunately, in recent years, more and more companies have become over-reliant on them for logistics, and I expect this over-reliance on companies like Entertainment Earth will continue. |

A friend asked me a good question on why I know BBTs is reliant on entertainment Earth for logistics. Aka how do I know a lot of their toys are shipped by Entertainment Earth.
Instead of an annoying "trust me" I can't tell you how, I will give you a hint instead. BBTs Pre-orders on many products tend to mirror Entertainment Earth's. Their In stock inventory is also always less than Entertainment Earth's. The prices might differ by 1-3 dollars, but it tends to be close. zzzzzzz When BBTs has a pre-order for Mega Construx Halo Falcon Sweep Wing, Entertainment Earth will definitely have a link also etc. https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Produ...Details/209422 https://www.entertainmentearth.com/p...-sweep/mthdp62 zzzzzzzzzzzz The Prices again, tend to be mirrored etc despite the pricing being different. This item for example were 32-34 USD on Ebay,Amazon a few months ago. When Entertainment Earth bumped the price to 40 earlier this year, BBts was forced to follow. https://www.entertainmentearth.com/p...gure/dc3037251 https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Produ...Details/203569 |

BBTS orders from EE? Wow. I had no idea. I thought they were a distributor and got shipments direct.

That's a pretty thin argument. BBTS gets direct shipments for Valaverse, 4 Horsemen, JoyToy, etc... it's hard to believe they rely on EE for Hasbro, Mattel, and MacFarlane.

Man, a bunch of us are becoming overly speculative about everything. EE is a distributor too, and I wouldn't doubt if BBTS orders stuff from EE from time to time, but they're also big enough to order directly from the manufacturers. Think of all the exclusives from just Hasbro they've carried over the years, in addition to numerous other companies, and I've gotten cases from BBTS in the past that had something to the effect of it being a "Big Bad Toy Store assortment" printed right on the box, which means Hasbro or whoever created that assortment of product to fit something BBTS specified.
Besides, if EE and BBTS are both getting product direct from the manufacturer, you're likely going to see similar order quantities, prices and price increases because the manufacturer is probably the one dictating terms. IE., minimum order quantities, wholesale prices and increases on wholesale prices. Plus, competition and market forces dictate retail pricing too.

I was just trying to highlight why the increasing strong trend to rely exclusively on Entertainment Earth for cheap logistics like a Diamond Select scenario is dangerous. There is no way BBTs exclusively relies on Entertainment Earth. That would be stupid. |
