So has anyone seen the pictures of the new toys, it looks like we're getting an AMP suit in 1:18ish scale.

no, I believe he said the line of mcfarlane avatar products would be 2.5 and 7 inches. from what everyone has been discussing, it's a pity the amp suit looks a bit better than the mattel offering.

McFarlane's marketing has been somewhat confusing: the 7" line is not actually a 1:10 scale line because everything is scaled around 10-foot aliens instead of 6-foot humans. The actual human figures are said to be about 5 inches tall.

The stuff looks good, but Avatar really isn't relevant. The special effects were great, but the movie wasn't very memorable. Who is the market for Avatar toys? Anyone who was a kid when the first movie released is an adult now (or close to it) and anyone who is currently a kid probably doesn't care that much about a reimaging of Fern Gully or Dances With Wolves.

I need to see Quaritch next to an MTF figure, preferably one of their BugHunter Colonial Marines. That's gonna decide everything for me.
